We are seeking an experienced Ops Engineer to join our team. Working closely with our development team, you’ll help to create and maintain automated processes for all aspects of our product. You’ll help to maintain the CI/CD pipelines. You’ll help to automate and maintain the customer onboarding process. And you’ll help to automate and maintain the regular data ingestion processes.
Additionally, due to the sensitive nature of the data we’re working with, you’ll have the opportunity to work with the rest of the business to create, maintain, and ensure compliance to the auditable controls necessary to properly secure our customers’ data.
And if that’s not enough for you, you’ll also maintain our entire Azure infrastructure. You’ll create, maintain, and monitor our dev, test, and prod environments to ensure the highest possible uptime for our customers.
Whew! That’s a lot. Don’t worry, you’ll have help. We’re a small team today, but we’re growing and there are a ton of opportunities to add to the team internally and to work with trusted 3rd parties. It takes a village, after all.
Still with me? Great! We’re looking for an experienced engineer who is eager to dive in and help take us to the next level. First and foremost, you should be comfortable running multiple environments in a cloud-based infrastructure, Azure preferred. Ideally, you’ll have experience practicing infrastructure as code and an obsession with automation. Recognizing that nobody knows it all, you’re eager to learn and develop your own skills to meet the needs of the business as we grow.
Working closely with your team is going to be massively important. Especially in the early phase of development, we’re going to need a lot of high bandwidth communication. Gracefully responding to quickly changing priorities is a particularly strong skill.
The position is in the Roanoke Valley and we are looking for candidates who have a minimum 3 years of ops experience, with experience in the Azure ecosystem preferred.
