Business Intelligence Analyst (Jr.)

We have an immediate opening for a junior business intelligence analyst in the Roanoke Valley. We are looking for candidates who have a minimum of 1+ years of MSFT Power BI or equivalent data visualization software experience. This includes experience in data mining with a strong understanding of data flow and structure.
Visualization Design – Strong understanding of, and experience building, effective data visualizations. Ability to design impactful dashboards aimed at displaying large amounts of data in a way to drive better, more informed decisions for our clients.
Organizational Skills – Work on highly complex, cross functional, and enterprise-wide data to build simple, elegant BI visuals. Must develop or follow work plans, flows, and timelines to meet milestones.
Data & BI Analysis – Assess data extraction, report generation, and bugs appearing in operations involving the data warehouse. Synthesize current business intelligence or trend data to support recommendations for action. Documents specifications for business intelligence or information technology (IT) reports, dashboards, or other outputs.
Data Aggregation – Collects business intelligence data from various resources. Generates standard or custom reports summarizing business, financial, or economic data for review by executives, managers, clients, and other stakeholders. Maintains and updates business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, systems, or methods.
Validation Tools – Validate system applications, monitor logs, and communicate effectively to clients.
Client Training – Trains users, including executives, to transform data into action-oriented information and to use that information correctly.
Bachelor’s Degree – Computational Modeling and Data Analytics, Applied and Discrete Mathematics, Finance, Engineering or similar discipline.
